Our Story

Many founders have a story much like others, but our story is unique. Our story started well before our great “aha” moment — it started 40 years ago.

We, Jill Rotella and Joy Pearson, are sisters and friends who are passion-driven and proud to be a woman-, sister-, and nurse-founded business. Together, we have more than 18 years of proven successes in the medical field, executive staffing management, and business ownership.

We were inspired to make a unique mark in the medical staffing industry, thus founding Source Medical Staffing. With an enthusiastic spirit, lofty objectives, and roots firmly in charitable beginnings, it is our goal to make a profound impact in medical staffing and the communities they reach, both near and far.

Leadership

Jill Rotella, BSN, Founder

A passion for being a nurse and helping people runs as deep as Jill’s inner being. She overcame many obstacles to obtain her nursing degree, one of which was bedrest while pregnant with her first-born son, Louis Rotella IV. Louie was born with Down Syndrome and later at age 8 was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Her passion and respect for the nursing community grew three-fold as a result of the extra medical care her son needed. This also lead to many life decisions to serve her community. Her years of leadership and many executive positions on the boards of nonprofit organizations has elevated her ability to blend deeply personal and motivating issues with remarkably professional ideas. Her innate ability to care for and educate others in the medical profession is truly inspiring.

Joy Pearson, MSM, Founder and President

Inspired by many motivational mentors before her, Joy’s passion for education, philanthropic heart, and dynamic work ethic guided her to where she is today. She believes in the power of knowledge and commitment to ones’ self-growth. Armed with multiple degrees and her real-life experience, she has become a true visionary. Her self-motivated and empowering leadership style has helped propel her business acumen. Her passion for helping others, giving back to the community, and her entrepreneurial spirit have come full circle, and blending those passions together have helped her achieve one of her biggest goals: helping those in the healthcare community fulfill their dreams.
